On the 27th of September the African Sustainable Development Association was launched at 3rd Annual African Sustainability Summit at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange by Mr Raldu Nel, Summit Chair and CEO and Founder of Blank Canvas Int.

The vision of the A-SDA is to be a center of excellence for sustainable development in Africa and South Africa. Its objectives are to drive a united, sustainable development agenda through collaboration and identify anchor projects that will lead to lasting results.


Mr Tshepo Kgobe, Senior Executive Manager: Technical Services at the Gautrain Management Agency and Mr Raldu Nel, CEO and Founder of Blank Canvas International and Summit Chair at the official Market Open event of this year’s Sustainability Summit on the 27th of September

The current founding members call on organisations and individuals to join this network and build the critical mass needed to make a lasting and visible difference in an environment where sustainability are often still viewed as a cost rather than a benefit and enabler and differentiator of future business.

Part of the planned activities for the A-SDA is a series of Deep Dive engagements, morning workshops where cross-industry stakeholders will rally around focus areas, identifying burning platforms and anchor projects for collaboration and impact.
